Project Manager - Brazil


Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Support of GECAS marketing activities during deal construction.
Technical support of aircraft Delivery and Redelivery through the application of GECAS deal process and "on time in service" management techniques.
Monitoring of aircraft modification and maintenance programs to meet customer expectations and contractual commitments while achieving project budget compliance.
Technical evaluation of aircraft to support purchase, sale and lease transactions.
Specialist technical input to strategic asset management activities.
Long range forecasting and budgetary planning of technical exposures and expenditures.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Professional Engineering qualification, with a minimum of 3 years experience in an engineering role in commercial aviation,
OR
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Airframe & Power plant (A&P) qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years maintenance and engineering experience in commercial aviation.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Project Management to include technical knowledge of aircraft lease and finance agreements.
Demonstrated working knowledge of aviation regulatory affairs together with a detailed knowledge of associated certification requirements for FAA, JAA and other applicable regulatory environments.
Strong Computer skills with proficiency in general business and web based applications as well as the use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint Applications.
Extensive travel required - up to 50% (depending on the nature of work activity) at short notice.
Legally authorized to work in Brazil.
Candidates must be prepared to submit to a pre-employment medical examination by a Company appointed Doctor, which may include drug screening.
Willing to submit to a background investigation, including, for example, verification of past employment and educational background.

Desired:
Professional Aeronautical engineering qualification.
Professional Airline Management or Business qualification.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage all technical aspects of aircraft lease transactions during deal prospecting, execution and lease management phases.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key players at all functional levels within customer airlines.
Proven ability to achieve goals while working under tight time constrains while maintaining technical standards and integrity.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with local service providers including MRO's and technical contractors to support technical activity in the region.
Ability to manage lease transaction technical activity during account restructuring and repossession events.
Ability to represent GECAS in a technical capacity at regional aviation related forums and conferences.
Ability to interface at all levels within GECAS regarding factors affecting regional technical strategy.
Ability to develop and implement appropriate technical policy across the region.
GB certified or certification within first 12 months of accepting role.
