ENGINEERING/TECHNICAL: Welding Supervisor - Ghana

Supervise teams welding and repairing buckets and attachments for large mining equipment
Our client is a major international mining equipment OEM with 26,000 staff in almost every corner of the world. The company is well known for its technically innovative, user oriented products and services and the build quality of its equipment.

This role reports to the Service Manager and has responsibility for supervising and leading teams establishing preventive maintenance schedules and carrying out welding and repair work for large scale haul trucks and excavators at various mining sites in Ghana. Creating welding training programmes and providing support for Parts, Service and other Field Managers will also be required.

It is essential that you have a relevant trade or higher level qualification and at least five years experience in welding and maintenance for heavy duty mobile equipment, preferably excavators and haul trucks with 100 ton plus capacity. Experience in open cast mine operations is a definite plus. You'll need welding knowledge and experience for stick and continuous wire-feed welding in all positions - vertical, horizontal and overhead. You must also be able to understand technical drawings and schematics and speak and write English fluently.
